Hi, I’m Dom Ridley!
An XR designer and developer based in Nottinghamshire, with 7 years of commercial experience working for global technology giants, mainly in the B2B marketing sector.
My driving force is to produce experiences that change minds, captivate audiences, educate via interaction, and cater to the client's every want and need.
Previously, I worked at Affari Media for 7 years as an XR Lead, where I built, managed, and drove the entire infrastructure of the Immersive department, entering Affari into the Immersive market for the first time. This was all whilst training team members in best practices and continuing to support on motion projects.
Interactive technology has alway captured my attention, owing to my educational background in Video Game Development. During my time at NTU I was introduced to an early Oculus Rift, and everything changed! My mind exploded with endless possibilities and I’ve since successfully produced Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Interactive Video, Film and Animation on a commercial level for several household names.
Hobbies & Intrests
Outside of work my main focus is creating digital content and drumming for the Nottingham based indie-rock band:
Set the Fire.
I’ve been playing drums in bands and performing live for over 15 years. Live music has always been a large part of my life as another creative outlet, whether attending or performing.
I’ve been fortunate to travel the country playing gigs and recording music.
Set the fire have recently featuring on BBC introducing, recorded at Rockfield Studios and sold out the “Creatures of Habit” EP Launch show.
